Silverado Open Day on March 17 & Villages Open Day on March 19

Hi Ladies,

See attached for information. I’m not sure how long the Open Day program will continue as attendance has been dwindling. Take advantage of these great deals while we still have them!

The Open Day at the Villages is an event where you can be paired with a friend, or sign up as a foursome. Being paired is an option, not a requirement. Let me know your preferences when you get back to me.

Please reply by Feb 24 if you want to attend either or both Open Days.

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” ~St. Augustine~

  • #6 bunker, new fabric, drain fixed, sand replaced
  • #4 front bunker – the next project for drains, then #15 on the right.
  • #12 has a high water table. Will try to raise the soil (with a top dressing, though this process takes a while).
  • Club has purchased a new 72″ John Deere mower.
  • Approximately 73 rakes have been purchased, about 70 more to go. Have tried to keep the best of what we have until those arrive.
  • Our web host provider is going out of business, looking for a new vendor.
  • We have a new sous chef
  • State of the club letter should be coming out soon from Mark.

Feb 4 Play day results

Hi,

It was a chilly day today and the golf suffered for many of us because of it (at least that’s the excuse we’re going with!!).

However, Joanne Smith did get a chip-in on hole 12 and with last weeks carry-over she won $40 – Congratulations!

We had one birdie today by Amelia Thornton on #6.

Closest to the pin winners:
Cindy Aafedt on #7 at 31’4″
Donna Grover on #17 at 21’4″

Today’s game was Give me a Break – subtract your worst par 3, par 4 and par 5.

In Flight 1 our new member Conchita Christensen won $8
Second and third place tied – Amelia Thornton and Joanne Leete winning $5.50.

In Flight 2 Julie Hanson won 1st place – $8
2nd place – Joanne Smith – $6
Tie for 3rd place – Susan Leeper and Bonnie Ladd – $2.50 each

Congratulations to all our winners and thanks for coming out today, Please remember to sign up by noon on Saturday for next week when we will be playing Valentine Bingo.

Thanks to Sondi and Cindy for helping out today with scoring.
