Hi ladies,
Do YOU want to be…QUEEN….FOR…A…..DAY??
It was ridiculously foggy for our first 5 or 6 holes this morning, but the sun eventually came out for the Coronation!
Today’s game was “Queen for a Day”.
16 players played their regular game, then subtracted their handicap, AND their age.
**Our Queen was Bonnie Ladd, with a Final Score of -14 (yes, MINUS 14), winning $20.**
Princesses were:
First Flight:
1st place ($8) Cathy Houston +4
2nd place ($4) Jan Murphy +6
Second Flight:
1st place tie ($6 each) Deb Martin and Fran Grace +2
Third Flight:
1st place tie ($6 each) Doris Bunnell and Sandy Mize -2
Chip-ins worth $5.25 each:
Deborah Veatch on #11
Cathy Houston on #5 and #11
Birdies:
Deb Martin on #7
Cathy Houston on #6
Closies were awarded $5 each:
Hole #2—Annette Krey 18’5”/ Joanne Leete 42’1”
Hole #7—Deb Martin 14’1”/ Sandy Mize 11’7”
Hole #14—Terry Billingham 19’4”
Hole #17—Annette Krey 63’
Thank you all for coming out. And thank you for putting up with me on my first rather messy time running a game.
Next week our game will be Secret Valentine. You’ll play your regular game. After play, the Pro Shop will do a blind draw to choose your Secret Valentine. Your 2 net scores will be combined to get the game score. Groupings by handicap. Cathy Houston will be in charge.
Kay
