Alrighty, the game was ‘Pop A Dot” probably not the most enjoyed game we’ve played. I found it in the ‘Fun Formats’ as accumulated from WGNAC Clubs….I guess I need to lose that page!! HAHA. But we did have Winners for the Day and 27 ladies played, so 4 Flights paid out…..yahoo.

8/22      Hot August Holes ….throw out one par 3, one par 4 and one par 5 to get to game score. Deduct full handicap.  Handicap foursome grouping.

8/29      Selected Score – choose 2 par 5, 4 par 4 and 3 par 3 net scores for game score. ABCD grouping

9/5         Double If – Throw out worst 2 holes from your score and then deduct full handicap. Handicap foursome grouping

We had 16 ladies that putted for dough today.  There were 3 flights paying $13 to 1st place and $6 to 2nd place.  Winners were:

First Flight: 1st place-Cindy Aafedt; 2nd place-Terry Billingham

Second Flight: 1st place-Mary Watkins; 2nd place-Joanne Leete

Third Flight: 1st place-Sondi Schnee; 2nd place tie-Deborah Veatch and Sally Sturney

  • Diablo Team Play Tuesday at Roundhill
  • 2024 Ladies Invitational Wednesday and Thursday (looks to be a lot of fun)
  • Central Vally Team Play Friday at Spring Creek
  • Next play day is actually July 25th.  It will be a foursome game.
  • Next week is July 4th, no ladies golf
  • July 11th is Central Valley Team Play, no organized golf
  • July 16th and July 18th Combined Club/Net Championship

Speaking of Combined Club/Net Championship………sign ups are open on CE. Sign up on July 18th and that will also sign you up for July 16th. I will have more information out soon, cost will be $45 as we will be crowning 2 Champions  –  Net Champion and Club Champion. We will be playing from the gold tees for both tournaments. You could win either tournament.
