Happy Turkey Day to all!! We did it, we got the Turkey Shoot in. Battling rain, wind and FOG last week, we actually had a pretty decent November Day to play. 21 ladies played the game and enjoyed each other’s company as we finished up the year.  😊

The Grand Prize winner this year was our very own Sally Sturney!! She completed her target score on the 18^th green when she holed her putt. She played net par golf for the day (and holed some amazing putts).

Congrats Sally who pocketed $40 for her efforts.

We had 16 players who came out and enjoyed this beautiful November day. We played NOSE today, taking the nine holes starting with those letters and subtracting 1/2 handicap. The nines were flipped on November 1st. I’m sorry there was so much confusion this morning. Mia said that she has updated Golf Genius so that won’t happen again.

There were three flights.  First place winners will receive $16.  Only one flight paid out second place and there was a tie so each will receive $4.

1^st Flight:
1^st place Cathy Houston with 33.5

2^nd Flight:
1st place Sandy Smith with 30.5

3^rd Flight:
1st place Doris Bunnell with 36
2^nd place Tie with 38 each- Sondi Schnee and Sally Sturney

Chip Ins and Birdies

There were two chip-ins today worth $8.00 each.  Sondi Schnee on Hole #4 and Hilary Frigillana on Hole #12.

Closest to the Pin Results-Payout was $5/CTP

Higher Handicap Flight HCP 30-36:

Frances Shipilov was the only person in this flight to have CTPs, and she had two!  Hole #7 was 14’9” and Hole #14 was 39’8”.

Lower Handicap Flight:

Hole 2-Jill Chase 2’7”
Hole 7-Terry Billingham 15′
Holes 14 and 17-Cathy Houston with 7’10” and 15’8”, respectively

Next week is Ladies and Gents.

Side note:  Please check the website to make sure you’re signed up for play days, and if you want to be added later, please advise the person in charge of the game (or Cathy Houston if you’re not sure).  Letting the Pro Shop know too, is fine, but it doesn’t always get passed on to the person in charge from the Pro Shop.  Today was a case in point as we had two unexpected ladies show up: one missing on website and one non communication from Pro Shop. Luckily, it worked out as we had room to complete two foursomes.
