Today was a beautiful day for golf.  We played T’s and F’s.  Play your game and at end total all of the holes beginning with T and F (2,3,4,5, 10,etc.) and then subtract ½ your handicap.  

There were 3 flights.  First place winners will receive $13 credit and second place $5.25.

There were two chip ins today worth $7.00 each.  Cindy Renshaw on hole 11 and Debbie Martin on hole 2.

There were 3 birdies.  Cindy Aafedt had 2 of them on holes 11 and 18.  Terry Billingham had one on 11.

Hi Ladies-

Today’s game of Hot July Holes was sure appropriate considering how warm it got.  It was play your normal game:  throw out 1 par 5, 1 par 4, and 1 par 3, total remaining holes and subtract full handicap.  

We had 22 players. The guideline is pay the top third, so I have one overall winner and 2 flights with 3 places each.

The way the numbers worked, it made total sense.  Lani Maloney blew everyone out of the water as our overall winner with a 45, winning $18.50.  

Flight 1 (Hcp up to 28):  Cindy Renshaw with a 52 won $14.75; Jill Chase & Sandy Smith with 55’s each receive $7.25.  

Flight 2 (Hcp 29 and up):  Fe Estrera & Bonnie Ladd with 51’s $12.12 each, and Mary Watkins with a 52 wins $5.  I decided to split the difference instead of front nine/back nine.

Envelopes with Chip In and Closest to the Pin monies are in envelopes in the locker, so winners check with who’s in charge next week.

Reminder!  Be sure and check the Calendar on our Website to make sure you’re signed up for our play days, or you can always call the Pro Shop. Today we had a lady show up that was sure she’d signed up, but was never listed.  Luckily, fitting her in was no problem, but that’s not always the case.

Thanks Hilary for helping and picking up the pieces when I dashed off.  All’s well, just an irritating dental thing I had to take care of immediately or risk going on vacation with an achy mouth.

Thanks to the 15 ladies who came out to play today. Weather was great and enjoyed our playing companions. Apologies that I didn’t get the information out timely that it was preferred lies today. The course is starting to show scruffy areas in the fairway and rough area. There were also some areas of just plain mud.  I’ll leave it up to the coordinators but would expect this to continue through the summer.  Here are the results:

Game today was selected net score, so we played golf and then selected our best par 5, 2 par 3’s and 6 par 4’s for our best score of the day.

I had uneven flights today, so chose to pay the 1st place the same amount and the secondary winners the same also.
