Everyone.
How often do you hit your ball into the penalty area (water) on the left hand side of hole 18? I know when I do I am certainly very pis–d, aka angry, and I rush down to where my ball crossed the penalty area, drop a ball within the two club lengths allowed in the grass that is right next to the rocks. Do I think clearly? NO, Do I take the time to measure? NO. Am I a smart golfer? Definitely NO!
If my answers had been YES then most of the time I would have found a much better place to drop my ball, within the Rules, and have a much better lie for my next shot and my one stroke penalty might not feel so bad .
